Our merch is printed and shipped for us by Printful, our print-on-demand fulfilment partner. This means every order is made specially for you once you check out — nothing sits pre-made on a shelf.
Production time: Most items take 2–7 business days to print before they're even shipped, depending on the product. You'll see estimated timeframes on each product page.
Delivery time: Once shipped, delivery is typically:
Within New Zealand: 3–10 business days
These are estimates, not guarantees — production and courier delays can occasionally push things out, especially around holidays.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your order and delivery address.
Tracking: You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details once your order leaves the print facility.
Customs and duties: Because Printful fulfils orders from facilities around the world, your order may occasionally ship from outside New Zealand. If it does, it could be subject to customs processing, and in rare cases import duties or fees — these would be your responsibility, not ours.
Wrong address: Please double check your delivery address at checkout. We're not able to cover reprinting or reshipping costs for orders sent to an incorrect address supplied at checkout.
Returns & Exchanges
Because every item is custom-printed to order, we're not able to offer returns or exchanges for:
Change of mind
Ordering the wrong size (please check the size chart on each product page before ordering — sizing can vary between styles)
Colour looking slightly different than expected on screen (this can vary by device display)
This isn't us dodging responsibility — it's how print-on-demand works, and it's part of what keeps our merch affordable and low-waste (nothing is printed until you order it).
If something's actually wrong
If your item arrives faulty, damaged in transit, or misprinted, that's on us to fix. Just email kiaora@projectgender.co.nz within 14 days of delivery with:
Your order number
A clear photo of the fault, damage, or misprint
We'll sort a free reprint, replacement, or refund — whichever makes sense for the issue. This is in line with your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, which we don't exclude or limit.
